It is a hazy beer, amber in color and with a big, lasting head leaving beautyful lacings. Berries, Brett, some caramel notes, some alcohol, raisins, a roasted touch, a faint touch of higher alcohol and also some chocolate and some cognac or other spirit. The flavor follows the same pattern, a good hoppy bitterness chimes in.

Bourbon and a nice oakiness. Some chocolate and toasted malts in the background. Smells thick, but sweet. Bourbon up front in taste, followed by a nice combination of vanilla and chocolate. A nice warming alcohol sensation closes it all off, leaving a dry aftertaste.

Pours a hazy medium brown with a beige head that lingers. The smell is mainly malty, with some caramel and bready malts. I didn't detect any hops in the aroma at first, but as the beer warmed the hop aroma came out. The taste is caramel but also some piney hop character and alcohol. I would say the hops and alcohol are the two most detectable traits in the flavor. The beer has lots of carbonation in it, which works well for this style.

Russian Imperial Stout. Made from copious amounts of Roasted and Black Barleys, our stout invites you to share a silky black body with hints of freshly pulled espresso from the coffee house, melding with dark bitter sweet chocolate from a Belgian Chocolateer and the ash of a smoldering fire on a dark winters night.
