Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a bronze color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is very grainy, some malts. Taste is crisp, grains, light hops, a touch of nutiness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.
Special brew only found in PA. Each year's version changes in style.
Pours a gold color with a fluffy white head. Light grain and corn palate with a slight citrus hop profile. Very clean for an adjunct brew.
Straub Special Dark
Deep amber with a crimson cast and deep gold and orange highlights. Creamy off-white head. There's a hint of dark malts in the nose.
Nice bit of toastiness. Balanced. Medium in body and crisp.
