Pours near-black with a very short tan head and a thin collar throughout. Not much lacing. The nose carries a really nice dosing of coffee with a bit of cream. Very intense. A bit of chocolate as well. The flavor falls back a bit from there. Nothing much more than that, but what's there is done nicely. Medium body and chewy.

The beer pours a deep dark black color with a thick frothy brown head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is great. It has a rich, warm black malt scent that is quite powerful. It is full of black patent and some chocolate malts along with a very dry oatmeal aroma. The taste is excellent as well. It is thick and rich with black malts. It goes down slow and warms on the finish. It is really dry and earthy. The mouthfeel is good. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation

Stone IRS (imperial russian stout)

It has a very dark black body that blocks out all light. Floating on top is two fingers of thick tan head. This head has good retention and makes lots of lacing on the glass. This full bodied beer has a big roasted toasted malty character with the mellow warmth of the alcohol reminding you to sip slowly and just enjoy. Foremost on the tongue are the bitter black chocolate, dark roasted grains and burnt coffee notes with some dark caramel and light molasses sweetness underneath.

It was a very nice deep, dark black with a slight head on it from the can. This smells complex. There is a musty roasty-ness that prevails through all the flavors. Taste - it starts with nice deep tones and milds out in the middle. The end is really where your smell and flavor kick in and take you for a ride to the end. Nice and deep body with full flavor
