Oskar Blues G'Knight
Manufacturer: Oskar Blues
ABV: 8.7%
IBU: 60
Pours a bright amber and deep copper-colored brew that's topped with a healthy foam head--plenty of stick and retention. Aroma is immense, resiny with pine, intense herbal notes, wood and grapefruit. Wicked smooth on the palate, creamy and lush. Lightly carbonated, but there's a slight rising that tries to push through the beer's dense malty backbone of caramel, candy and sweet tropical-like fruits. Very bready beneath, with a faint honey note too. Nice smacking of hops, which are not overly bitter, but packed with flavor. More grapefruit, a dust of chalky aspirin, sticky resins, grassy edge and pith. The alcohol lifts its headiness and says hello as the beer warms, but for the most part that 8.7 is nicely hidden. Dry finish with hop coarse tannins, oils and residual wood.

Oskar Blues Gubna Imperial IPA
Manufacturer: Oskar Blues
ABV: 10.0%
IBU: 100
This ale is made with three malts and one hop. Its light amber color and slightly spicy malt character are derived from the use of German Dark Munich Malt and Rye Malt respectively. North American 2-row barley combines with the other grains to lay the foundation for the hop onslaught to come. Summit hops are used exclusively in the boil for bitterness, flavor and aroma but it doesn’t end there. Post-fermentation dry hopping allows the 10% ABV monstrosity to gently coax the citrus rind and grapefruit aroma to join the 100 IBUs already present.

Palate Wrecker
Manufacturer: Green Flash
ABV: 9.5%
The beer pours a clear gold/yellow-orange color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the hops. I get a lot of orange citrus and pine notes, as well as some caramel malt to keep things balanced. The flavor is definitely all about the hops. I get a ton of bitterness as well as some bitter oranges and pine notes. The caramel malt is hidden in the background and plays a secondary role. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Port Brewing Hop 15 Ale
Manufacturer: Port Brewing
ABV: 10.0%
Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, this beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish.

Manufacturer: Sixpoint
ABV: 9.1%
The beer pours a light orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of resinous pine, with some sweet candy notes also thrown in. I also get a bit of toffee and biscuit malt in the aroma. The flavor is very similar. The pine and resin notes are very apparent, but there is also some juicy orange citrus thrown in for good measure. The biscuit malt is also present and keeps the bitterness in check, although it is definitely present. The hop flavors are very bold and are very well done. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. An excellent Double IPA.

River Horse Hop-a-lot-amus

Smuttynose Big A IPA
Manufacturer: Smutty Nose
ABV: 9.7%
An orange and citrus fruit, with a nicely balanced body, a hint of malt and a bunch of alcohol, and perhaps a hint of honey. The beer ends nicely with a lingering hop dryness. Big A IPA has everything you’d want in an India Pale Ale, only more: more hops, more malt & more flavor.

Southern Tier 2x IPA
Manufacturer: Southern Tier
ABV: 8.2%
light citrus starts it off, lots of pineapple and grapefruit coming off here. light though with hints of grass, nice touches of light malt mid palate. as you take the sip the first thing you notice is the light, crisp body and the clean, easy drinking nature, especially for the abv. it just drank soo clean. nice touches of grapefruit an crisp, dry hops bit the tongue and dry the palate out oerfectly. smooth, long finish ends it just where it needed to.

Southern Tier Gemini
Manufacturer: Southern Tier
ABV: 9.0%
Gemini is a super hopped ale with six varieties of hops blasting flavor and zapping bitterness in every direction.

Southern Tier Unearthly IPA
Manufacturer: Southern Tier
ABV: 9.5%
The beer pours a nice amber color with a thick frothy offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is great! It has a solid malt bill that boasts of pale and carapils malts along with a wonderful hop aroma. It's intensely bitter, but equally stong in malts giving it a warm and balanced scent. The taste is great as well. It has a rich malt flavor that goes down easy and finishes warm and satisfying. The hops are true all the way through and add a kick ass bitter bite which helps hide the elevated abv.. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation

LIMITED RELEASE. Superb. Nose is peaches, Caramel and citrus. Taste is caramel, citrus and resin.

Stone Ruination IPA

A vibrant bubbly tangerine orange with flakes of copper and amber when held up to the light. An excellent fluffy 1.5" stark white head sat for a couple minutes and dissipated into beautiful lacing. Floral and citrusy hops, slight yeasty smell as well. Similar to the smell but expanded upon immensely. The initial taste is of course grapefruit and hops, slight yeast and honey-esque sweetness come next with a great malty/alcohol finish. All of these blend together flawlessly to create an amazing taste.
