Hazed leather-brown color, fine-bubbled pillowy head wraps a few rings of lace on the glass after each gulp. Thick aroma of brown bread, toasted bread crust, faint clove and some very ripe bananas. So incredibly smooth and crisp within the lush full body. Heavy handful of malt with each taste, big toasted bread flavors up front with a little bit of creamy sweetness. Zhiguly Grande 12
Manufacturer: Rinkuskiu Alaus Darykla
ABV: 11.9%
Out of a bottle this beer was a hazy orange color with one finger of off-white head. The retention was ok and the lacing spotty. The aroma was subtle, centered around sweet malt and vodka-like booze. The flavors were of caramel, raisins, dark fruit and, of course, booze. Still, for nearly 12% ALC I was amazed by how drinkable it was.
